2022 Year in Review

9 years ago today I logged onto Facebook and created a Business Page for my photography. My goal that year was to give professional photography a try, and since then, it’s become my full time career!

2022 was the first full year I’ve had since getting my degree where I could focus completely on my photography business. Running my own business has definitely been both challenging and rewarding. The hardest part about this past year was moving my business from Utah back home to Minnesota. Even though I grew up here, I left so many clients and connections behind in Utah. It really forced me to learn more about marketing and improve my business skills.

I am so grateful to all my clients who trusted me to capture their important moments this past year! None of this would be possible without them. I photographed over 60 photo sessions, including portraits, headshots, weddings and events. I included a favorite photo from each in the gallery below!

I’m so excited for all that 2023 will bring. Looking back on how far I’ve come, I know it can only get better from here :)
